It’s been a long time, but we’re reviving this space to share our latest news, updates and more with you. To kick things off, how about a roundup of Korean celebrities who have been spotted in Vivienne Westwood as of late?

Whether you’re a fan of the K-wave or not, you have to admit that Korean celebrities almost always look on point (they were the ones who started the airport fashion trend, after all). Bold, daring and put-together, Korean celebrity style is pretty much in a league of its own.

Samantha Thavasa Store Opening at Suntec City – 31 July 2015

Last Friday, we celebrated the opening of our brand new Samantha Thavasa store at Suntec City! To kick things off, we had a fashion show to showcase our latest collection of bags. From bright pops of colour to ladylike totes, our new collection encapsulates the true Samantha Girl – fun, flirty and feminine.

The models’ makeup was done by Jeffrey Linus Lee and his makeup team, while their hair (love the romantic braids!) was done by Salon B at One Nassim. We went with a soft, pretty look for the makeup (think rosy cheeks, fluttery lashes and tinted lips) and equally feminine side braids for the hair. Here’s a closer look at the makeup!

As you can see from the photos below, our new collection is all about colours – pretty pastels for the feminine ladies out there, and bright bold colours for the more adventurous ones. To view the full collection, do head down to our Suntec City store at #01-464/465 (North Wing).

We also put together a special dessert table featuring lots of pretty Samantha Sweets, chocolates, cakes and more! Special thanks as well to Italian wine and gourmet store Clessidra for sponsoring the wine for our guests.

We also gave away Hello Kitty x Samantha Vega bags to the first 50 ladies in line who were carrying their Samantha Thavasa bags. The response was overwhelming! People started lining up at 12pm, and by 6pm (when we started giving out the bags), there was a really long line outside our store. We held a tea party at Vivienne Westwood Anglomania to celebrate Isetan’s seasonal Fashion Week last weekend. The theme for the day was all things British, so of course we had to have some scones, tarts and tea. We also had 10% off 2 items or more, and a free gift with any purchase. Tyan Spring Summer 2014 Preview at ION Orchard

We held a preview of our Spring Summer 2014 collections for our VIP guests on Wednesday, 12 March at our ION Orchard store. TYAN Fall Winter 2013 Preview at ION Orchard

We held a preview for our latest Fall Winter 2013 collections last Friday, 25 October for our VIP customers. The show, which featured new arrivals from Vivienne Westwood, Sonia Rykiel, Paule Ka and Vivienne Tam, was also held in conjunction with Japanese handbag label Samantha Thavasa. The show featured the brand’s latest collection of python and leather bags.

We also featured the latest collection of denim from Samantha Thavasa Jeans, a brand new line that launched in Singapore this month. The collection features skinny jeans in several shades, and is fronted by Korean pop group Girls Generation as campaign models.

The Little White Dress

The little white dress is summer’s version of the LBD. Keep the look classy by pairing your white dress with metallic sandals, drop earrings, and a printed day clutch. For a more sophisticated look, take a leaf out of Laura Whitmore’s style book. The MTV Europe presenter wore a crisp Alice McCall mini dress, with a flouncy peplum and short hemline – the perfect dress to take you from day to night.

Vivienne Westwood Red Label S/S 2013

Everyone knows that vertical stripes can make you look slimmer, but how do you wear this trend without looking like a jailbird? Always one to think outside of the box, Vivienne Westwood uses variegated stripes in contrasting hues in her latest S/S 2013 Red Label collection, with a hint of polka dots to keep the look fun. The playful mix of prints and graphics demonstrate Westwood’s signature knack for contrasting playful fabrics with ladylike silhouettes.

JC de Castelbajac S/S 2013

50 Shade of Gray may have been last summer’s hottest read, but this summer’s hottest trend seems to be fifty shades of, well, yellow. Whether it is citrus bags or mustard ballet flats, yellow seems to be everywhere (and in every shade). For his S/S 2013 show, JC de Castelbajac contrasted grayscale graphics with bright yellow (as seen in the maxi dress above). No stranger to clashing colors, the French designer effortlessly uses color to make his clothes stand out from the crowd. Trust us, you will turn heads when you wear JC de Castelbajac.

Metallics

This season, New York socialite Tinsley Mortimer brings her Midas touch to the signature ruched clutch from her Samantha Thavasa collaboration line. Although we don’t carry her line in our Samantha Thavasa stores in Singapore, we still love how her clutch is so versatile and classic. Whether you’re going for a ladylike or rocker chic look, this metallic clutch will spruce up any outfit in an instant.
